We're looking for an experienced Asset Manager to join the team, focusing on distressed assets and covenant breaches.
The Asset Manager will play a pivotal role in the Special Situations team, focusing on assets that require restructuring due to covenant breaches or other financial distress. This role involves deep analysis, strategic planning, and execution of asset restructuring plans to maximize value for the fund and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- **Asset Analysis:** Perform detailed financial and operational analysis of distressed assets to understand covenant breaches and identify potential restructuring strategies.
- **Restructuring Strategy:** Develop and oversee the implementation of restructuring plans, which may include debt restructuring, operational improvements, or sale processes.
- **Stakeholder Management:** Engage with borrowers, co-lenders, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to negotiate and manage restructuring terms effectively.
- **Portfolio Management:** Monitor and manage the performance of restructured assets within the portfolio, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and fund requirements.
- **Reporting:** Prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders, LP meetings, and regulatory bodies detailing asset performance, restructuring progress, and future strategies.
- **Market Analysis:** Stay abreast of market trends, legal changes, and economic indicators that could impact distressed asset values or restructuring strategies.
- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with the investment, legal, and operational teams to ensure a cohesive approach to asset management and restructuring.
**Requirements:**
- **Education:** Degree, MBA or equivalent experience in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- **Experience:** You will be working in asset management, or restructuring, ideally within private credit, distressed debt, or restructuring environments.
- **Skills:**
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in financial modeling.
- Proven track record in leading successful asset restructurings.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
- **Certifications:** CFA, CPA, or other relevant financial certifications are a plus.
