Position Overview:
In collaboration with a supportive team, the Events and Communications Coordinator plans, organizes, and executes events and communication efforts for Monogram Foods and the Monogram Foods Loves Kids Foundation (the foundation).
The qualified individual will ideally have previous experience of in events and/or communications, and will have excellent skills in event planning, project management, and writing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Monogram Foods Loves Kids Foundation, including processing all grants, creating all required materials, collecting and tracking donations and sponsorships, planning events, and managing the foundation.
- Plan and execute annual charitable gala for 500 guests including vendor coordination, sponsorship recruitment and coordination, volunteer recruitment and training, auction management, and more.
- Manage communications regarding the foundation and events including annual report, press releases, and social media posts.
- Assist in coordinating the annual community grant cycle across Maintains donor database and communications.
- Manage administrative tasks to ensure maintenance of foundation’s 501(c)(3) status and for its board of directors.
- Work with team and others to implement fundraising events to support foundation initiatives and fundraising needs.
- Work with various plant locations and teams to coordinate internal employee events.
- Assists with design and content for company e-newsletter, presentations, posters, press releases, website, social platforms and other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field required.
- Required Experience: Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Preferred Experience: The desired candidate will also have basic graphic design knowledge and know-how, including experience in Adobe, Canva, or related platform.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Competencies and Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Superior written communication skills, with excellent grammar and spelling knowledge and knowledge of AP writing style.
- Excellent event planning skills.
- Ability to work well across all levels of the organization and with outside vendors.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Self-starter with attention to detail.
- Adaptable and flexible in changing circumstances.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
- Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting items of up to 40 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
