Camp Muffly Park and Mason-Dixon Historical Park are both looking for a dedicated Full-Time Maintenance Worker to join our team! Both Mason-Dixon Historical Park and Camp Muffly Park are seeking a reliable and skilled individual for the position of Full-Time Maintenance Staff. This role assists the Park Superintendent with daily operations, ensuring the security, safety, and maintenance of park facilities and grounds. You will also support park programs and events, contributing to an enjoyable experience for visitors. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on park facilities, equipment, and grounds.
• Mow grass, trim trees, and maintain landscaping to keep the park looking its best.
• Clean and sanitize park restrooms, picnic shelters, and other common areas.
• Assist with setup and teardown for park events and programs.
• Conduct minor plumbing, and carpentry repairs as needed.
• Monitor and ensure safety standards across the park.
• Operate and maintain tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment like mowers and tractors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance, landscaping, or a similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry is a plus.
• Must be reliable, organized, and capable of handling physically demanding tasks.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
• Strong safety awareness and the ability to follow safety procedures effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to make prompt decisions in high-pressure situations with significant consequences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate as part of a team when needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, and able to handle a variety of tasks in both busy, indoor and outdoor environments. You should be comfortable working independently while maintaining a high standard of customer service for park visitors. This role requires someone who is adaptable and can manage maintenance tasks, emergency repairs, and support special events. Job Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Prior maintenance experience is preferred (at least 1 year).
• A valid driver's license is required.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Occasional weekend and holiday work as required

Pay:

• $13 to $15 / hour
