What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at Monoprice Inc.?
Our Kentucky Distribution Center is currently seeking for two responsible Equipment Operators who will be responsible for the accurate storing of products. Compile and maintain materials and finished goods stocks, expediting their movement between stocking and order picking areas.
Schedules:
- A: Mon-Thurs – 6:30am to 5:00pm ($17-18/hr)
- C: Fri-Sun – 6am to 6:30pm ($18-19/hr)
This Role Will Be Responsible For:
- Moving finished goods from and to storage areas with proper equipment and efficiently stock and store finished goods in the appropriate sections
- Efficiently pick/Label customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of products is loaded and shipped
- Accurately fill out down time sheet to record productivity accurately.
- Expedites transfer of materials from stock to fulfillment areas
- Use of RF equipment/voice unit
- Operates forklift or powered equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
- Meet minimum performance standards/accuracy/goals set by management
- Conduct work assignments in a manner which promotes safety
- Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or department objectives.
The Right Person Will Have:
- 2 years minimum experience in a warehouse or distribution center
- Forklift certification
- Experience operating powered equipment
- GED/High School diploma.
- Great people skills, excellent team work and communication skills
- Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Operating in a collaborative environment
