Monroe Biomedical Research is expanding rapidly, with new clinical trial site locations and increased research operations. As part of our growth, we are seeking an Accounting Operations Coordinator to support and enhance our accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management processes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency in our clinical research studies.
The Accounting Operations Coordinator will oversee both incoming and outgoing financial transactions, working closely with internal accounting and operations teams as well as external customers and vendors. This role is essential in maintaining strong financial relationships and ensuring the success of our company’s financial operations.
- Generate and send invoices to customers weekly
- Ensure invoices align with contract requirements and resolve discrepancies with customers (pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs)
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments
- Reconcile accounts receivable and maintain accurate records of collections
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Verify invoice accuracy, approvals, and proper coding
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Process electronic payments, checks, and wire transfers
- Identify and match received payments with customer remittances
- Track payment of invoices in the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS)
- Provide weekly status reports on collections and payments to the Senior Accounting Manager and CFO
- Identify and implement process improvements in AR, AP, and cash management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and vendors regarding payments
- Work closely with the operations, budgets, contracts, and accounting teams to ensure financial alignment
✔️ Required:
- Experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable, preferably in healthcare or clinical research
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Experience in clinical trial accounting or healthcare finance
- Proficiency in CTMS or accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP)
