What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Engineering Project Manager position at Monroe County?
Description of Duties
This is an engineering position in the Monroe County Department of Transportation responsible for overseeing and coordinating transportation and traffic engineering, as well as planning activities associated with Monroe County roads and the City of Rochester streets. This position will oversee transportation and traffic projects, studies, and programs; coordinate and review capital improvement programs; and prepare and review transportation and traffic designs, specifications, and estimates. The employee reports directly to and works under general supervision of the Deputy Director of Transportation or other higher-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over subordinate professional and technical staff. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma; PLUS,
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a closely related field, plus four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in civil, environmental, or transportation engineering or planning activities involving one or more of the following: planning studies, project design, construction inspection, or construction; OR,
- Graduation with an Associate’s degree in one of the fields mentioned in (A) above, plus six (6) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as described in (A) above; OR,
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
Salary : $90,262 - $124,943
