- Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
- Administer NYSESLAT.
- Plan and deliver instruction for ELL students in accordance with NYS mandates and standards.
- Select, utilize and adapt appropriate second language learning strategies.
- Develop and implement effective student behavior management plans.
- Establish and maintain a daily schedule.
- Complete reports for student attendance, progress and evaluation.
- Attend school related meetings relevant to ENL program and students.
- Consult and co-plan with classroom teachers and school administrators regarding instruction and students’ needs.
- Communicate with parents/guardians.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education.
- Travel to various locations as assigned to provide services.
- Current NYS ESL Teacher Certification required
- Knowledge of NYS Learning Standards, Common Core and ESL assessments
- Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
- Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
