CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS:
Monroe University is seeking adjunct instructors in each of the schools and for general education courses. Positions are available for teaching on Monroe’s Bronx and New Rochelle campuses and for teaching online. Classes are offered during the day, in the evening, and for the graduate division we offer a hybrid schedule on Saturdays.
Adjuncts are responsible for instruction, course preparation, developing instructional materials, grading and assessment, and professional responsibilities as a member of the instructional team of a school or academic department.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- A Master's degree or higher in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Doctoral degree preferred for teaching these subject areas at the graduate level.
- Professional experience related to the field of Business and Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in teaching or training in business analytics or related areas is preferred.
- Proficiency in relevant software and data analysis tools used in business analytics, i.e. data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, and Python programming for analyzing data for use in decision-making is required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- University-level teaching experience preferred
- Experience using a learning management system, such as Blackboard, a plus.
