Position Summary: In the position of Sr. Packaging Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of packaging solutions for company products. Working closely with cross‐functional teams, including product development, marketing, operations, and suppliers to ensure packaging meets all functional, aesthetic, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage and update the current and archived can and packaging files. Analyze and determine standards for packaging lines and ensure compliance to all schedules for processes and develop and maintains/coordinates all packing orders effective. Manage and develop packaging standards, best practices, and Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage work to packing schedule and maintain an inventory of materials and completion of all projects with required timeframe. Ensure all Weights and Measurements are correct in SAP and are updated as appropriate.
- Coordinate with quality and warehouse departments to monitor everyday activities of units and ensure efficient work of both manufacturing and packaging department and ensure continuous improvement in same.
- Travel to plants, warehouses and domestic suppliers. Complete audits and recommendations. Coordinate with plant manager, evaluate all projects and recommend ways to reduce cost and improve quality of all processes.
- Communicate on a global platform. Respond to customer complaints or inquires and develops action plans to address packaging‐related complaints.
- Provide necessary training and counseling to employees as per requirement. Develop team environment in department. Create and maintain professional relationships with all external vendors and contractors, improve efficiency process through incorporation of new technology.
- Ensures project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Position Requirements:
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of ‐‐ Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Package Engineering, or related field of study.
- Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in food and beverage packaging.
- Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in supervisory experience required.
- Computer Skills Desired: Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Expertise in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Experience with TopsPro program a PLUS.
- Preferred Certifications: Project Management Certification preferred.

Base Pay Range: $74,651K -$99,535K
Salary : $74,651 - $99,535
