Lift Operator

Mont Du Lac Resort in Superior, WI is looking for lift operators for this winter season. We are located at 3125 S Mont Du Lac Dr. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.

Type: Part-time | Full-time Seasonal. Estimated starting, end of November through March.

Shifts: 

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3:30pm-9:30pm  

Saturday 9:30am-9:30pm Sunday 9:30am-6:30pm

Wage: $16 based on experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

Lift attendants and operators are responsible for the safety of our guests as they get on and off the lifts. You must become familiar with the operation of the lift and conveyors and know how to instruct and help the guest to load and unload.

The specific duties of Lift Attendant shall include but not be limited to:

·        In constant contact with our guests.

·        Must be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them.

·        Verifying valid season passes or daily lift tickets.

·        Work will be outside for the entire shift, in all types of weather including extreme conditions.

·        Must be agile on soft and hard packed snow.

·        Must be able to walk safely down the slopes.

·        Maintain load and unload ramps in areas around lift stations in various weather conditions.

·        May be assigned to work in our tubing area or terrain park.

·        Work as part of a team to complete tasks. 

·        Perform daily pre-operation inspections and post-operation shutdown procedures.

·        Recognize and communicate hazards and follow all safety standards.

·        Always maintain proper communication, including updating lift logs, using lift telephones/radios and communicating with others, when necessary, about incidents and safety concerns.

·        Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

·        Will be working in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.

·        Must be physically able to hold chairs while guests load and unload.

·        Must be physically able to swing loaded chairs.

·        must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

·        Snow shoveling required.

·        Must be able to be on your feet for the entire shift.

Minimum age requirement is 18. A hi-visibility safety vest is required and is provided.
