TITLE: Child Care Center Assistant Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS.
1. Must have a Preschool Teacher certification through the Department of Early Education and Care.
2. Candidate should have 1 years of experience working with preschool-aged children.
3. Knowledge of child development through coursework or other experience.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5 . Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
6. Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
7. Exceptional organizational skills and cleanliness.
8 . Ability to multitask.
9 . Candidate must be flexible and be able to respond to change as needed.
REPORTS TO: Child Care Center Director
JOB GOAL: The Child Care Center Assistant Teacher shares in the overall development and supervision of a well-balanced childcare program. The assistant is responsible for assisting in the operation of the childcare center according to philosophy, policies, and goals set forth by Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in accordance with all local and state licensing.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
●Works directly with children to provide them with a safe, warm, nurturing, and educational environment.
●Ensures all of the children’s needs are met at all times.
●Maintains adequate communication with the director and parents.
●Creates and implements fun and engaging activities with children.
●Ensures the classroom is kept clean and organized.
●Adheres to all EEC regulations, policies, and procedures.
●Performs other duties assigned by the Superintendent-Director.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position may require long periods of standing
and lifting. The individual may be required to work in a loud and fast-paced environment. Other activities include working both inside and outside in safe weather conditions.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full year, Twelve-Month, Part-Time position
