Description:
General Laborer positions openings to take up manual labor tasks and support operations for the project of demolition of a concrete structure.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performing all task with Commitment to SAFETY! Wearing PPE at all times (hardhat, Vest, eye protection, hearing protection, etc.)
- Putting tools and small equipment away at the end of shift.
- Organizing crew truck and job trailers weekly.
- Collecting trash, debris, and other construction waste daily to keep the site clean and safe.
- Helping erect forms, scaffolding & ladders.
- Handling & transporting materials, shoveling, raking, pumping, digging, stacking, organizing etc.
- Handing & operating power tools (saws, drills, concrete tools, etc.)
- Assisting carpenters, operators, and other tradespeople on-site
- Exercise good judgement regarding safety & pre-cautions.
- Work independently and in crew environment depending on the task.
Qualifications:
- Must have 3-years commercial/heavy civil experience of previous construction employment.
- 18 years of age.
- Available to work extended long hours, nights and weekends when weather demands that schedule. This project is an emergency project where a possible swing shift is possible for a week or two.
- Able to pass Pre-employment Physical and Drug/Alcohol Testing, including marijuana.
- Must be able to follow instructions and meet set standards.
- Stamina & strength to perform manual labor all day and ability to lift heavy loads 50 lbs. min.
- Must be able to read & write to fill out Daily Time Cards.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must provide 3 pertinent references from previous employers.
Pay:
$28.00 hour $7.00 hour as retention bank. Retention bank is not subject to OT wage, but must finish project, about 3 months to receive.
$175.00 day per diem. Must work 6 hours per day or more to receive.
