Loan Officer: Are you ready to make a real impact in people’s lives while building a rewarding career in financial services? At MCU, we’re looking for passionate, people-focused Loan Officers to be the trusted financial partner our members count on every day.
As an MCU Loan Officer, you’ll do more than process loan applications — you’ll be a key player in helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals. Whether it's a first car, a dream home, or funding for life’s next big chapter, you'll guide members through the lending journey with empathy and expertise.
MCU Loan Officers are responsible for interviewing and evaluating applicants for routine loans and processing loan applications. They successfully gather background information and analyze loan applicants’ credit history, and approve or deny loan applications based on analysis. They operate with moderate credit authority and promote credit union products and services based on member needs. In addition, they handle a variety of transactional services, including opening new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and responding to member requests, problems, and complaints. They also conduct research on member accounts when necessary.
1 - 2 years' experience as a loan officer is preferred. Well-qualified candidates will have a strong knowledge of computer programs, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to read, interpret, and positively reinforce policy and procedures, and have an advanced understanding of lending regulations and policies.
