Transportation Alternatives Engineer

Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for a Transportation Alternatives Engineer/Program Manager for MDT's Transportation Alternatives Program. The position provides oversight and management of these program funds.Duties include administration of approximately $4.5 million annually for the design and construction and/or development of eligible projects under the Federal transportation alternatives set-aside provision. The position reports to the Consultant Design Engineer and is responsible for 7 FTE in the TA Section.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related engineering degree
• 6 years of progressively responsible experience in transportation-related planning, engineering or construction
• A minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Montana is required.
