What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOH Shift Lead position at Montclair Hospitality?
Mori Mori, Chef Morimoto’s new temaki bar concept, is seeking a friendly, professional, and efficient Cashier to join our dynamic team.You will play a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience by providing fast and accurate service in a vibrant food hall environment.
Shift Lead Responsibilities:
- Train, lead, and coach all employees in the front of house to ensure that established MHG cultural and core standards are met.
- Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by the company, local, state, and federal regulations are in compliance.
- Communicate with employees and upper management to ensure operational needs are met.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Manage flow of business via dine in, take out and delivery sales channels
- Open and/or close the restaurant as the Supervisor, responsible for all aspects of service and restaurant operations
Requirements:
- Experience in leading a team
- 3 years minimum kitchen experience
- Adequate knife skills
- Experience handling raw seafood, japanese products a plus
- Sushi experience preferred but not required
- If not already acquired, NYCDOH Food Handlers Permit must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
