About the Role
Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Events and Community Programs Coordinator to join the team in our Marketing department. As an Events and Community Programs Coordinator, you will deliver a World Class Experience by supporting the Manager of Community Programs & Events in managing the Bank’s Volunteer program, internal & external Events, Social Media, and Community Education programs. Tasks include administrative/logistical/financial coordination and the submission of materials in support of the Bank’s vision. You will build relationships with key community members to further engage our audiences and expand brand awareness. Administrative support will include coordinating and scheduling meetings, appointments, presentations and activities as needed with key partners, and maintaining various databases. You will be located in Santa Barbara, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.
What We’re Looking For
- A college degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year up to three years’ experience in a community outreach, marketing, non-profit administration or related role required.
- Event planning experience and experience working with non-profits preferred.
- The ideal candidate is friendly, extremely detail oriented, creative and is motivated by representing the Bank in the community.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all departments throughout the bank and handle confidential information with a high degree of sensitivity and discretion
Your Responsibilities
The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Collect and analyze volunteer requests, and work with manager to schedule and recruit for them accordingly.
- Act as a Volunteer Lead at the majority of volunteer events, which can include evenings and weekends.
- Track associate volunteer hours & oversee volunteer-based reward programs.
- Develop social media content that celebrates the Bank’s community involvement and showcases our community partners.
- Develop project plans and budgets for over a dozen Bank-hosted events and internal associate events annually.
- Support the manager in the organization, updating and maintenance of all Community Education curriculums (financial literacy, cyber-security, elder financial abuse prevention), including conversion to video formats as needed.
