Monterey Bay GI Consultants and Monterey Bay Endoscopy Center, a growing healthcare organization, is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Patient Account Representative. If you have a passion for helping others, organization and time management skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in our organization by ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient accounts. The position is full time (40 hours per week) and in this role, primary responsibilities include the following. Position is located in our Monterey or Salinas office - not a remote position.
Essential Job Functions :
- Demonstrate professional communication skills when answering patient phone calls
- Enter and submit charges
- Investigate, correct, and appeal or resubmit denied claims
- Patient collections
- Accurately update patient demographics
- Call and assist patients regarding past due balances
- Learn about patient insurance coverage and be able to answer questions regarding insurance and billing
Position Requirements :
Pay rate to be discussed in consideration of experience. If you have the required skills and are interested, please submit a cover letter with your resume. Salary : $21.00-$25.00 per hour.
