- Daily Charge Nurse Duties:
- Assume the role of Charge Nurse, overseeing daily clinical operations and ensuring the smooth flow of procedures.
- Assign nursing staff to specific patient care areas based on acuity and workload.
- Ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely, efficient, and compassionate manner.
- Act as a clinical resource and provide guidance to nursing staff.
- Address and resolve operational issues that arise during daily procedures.
- Staff Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and provide feedback to nursing staff and other healthcare providers.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and orientation of new staff members.
- Participate in staff evaluations, addressing performance concerns and providing coaching.
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices, safety protocols, and best practice standards.
- Coordinate with the Nurse Manager to maintain optimal staffing levels and ensure efficient care delivery.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the inventory and ordering of medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Monitor the condition of equipment and supplies, performing regular checks to ensure they are functioning properly and in good condition.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing and timely deliveries.
- Medication Management:
- Assist in the management of medications used in the Endoscopy Center, including ensuring proper storage, handling, and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy department to ensure medications are available and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and track patient medication needs during procedures and post-procedure care.
- Ensure compliance with all medication-related policies and regulations.
- Quality Improvement and Compliance:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and CMS.
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring that all staff are trained in and adhere to safety standards.
- Clinical safety officer
- Responsible for documenting codes, mock codes and disaster drills

- Complies state and federal safety standards
- Education:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an endoscopy or procedural setting.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical and technical skills in endoscopic nursing care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare technology.

- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Ability to lift and move patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods during shifts.
- Work in a fast-paced, clinical environment with exposure to medical equipment, patients undergoing procedures, and administrative tasks.
- Main work location will be Salinas. Need to be able to work in Salinas and Monterey.
- Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call duties as necessary.
