Montessori Academy of Upland is looking for a full-time Assistant Teacher to work in our Toddler and Primary classrooms. Please review the following description of qualifications and responsibilities. If you are interested in a position please email your resume and transcripts.
The person selected for this position will be responsible for assisting a classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of a class of children.
ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE 12 ECE UNITS. (3 ADDITIONAL UNITS IN INFANT/TODDLER SPECIFIC CURRICULUM HIGHLY PREFERRED.)
Must be available M-F
8:30am-5:30pm
and/or
9:00am-6:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assisting in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the lead teacher.
- Assisting in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up learning centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
- Supervising the children during class time and outside play.
- Helping with the general housekeeping tasks.
- Assisting the lead teacher in any other appropriate ways.
- Treating all children with dignity and respect.
- Attending all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
- Attending parent meetings, open houses and other classroom events.
- Participating in professional organizations that work for the improvement of early childhood education.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
