Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services is a residential treatment program designed specifically for teens ages 12-17 suffering from mental health and substance abuse conditions. The Teacher primary purpose is to provide academic instruction during the week to Muir Wood residents, collaborate with residents home schools and parents, and actively participate in the treatment team as a member of the Muir Wood residential treatment program.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Completes student education evaluation in a timely manner.
- Develops Individual Education Plan for each resident of Muir Wood in collaboration with the residents’ home school instructors and school district.
- Provides academic testing on each resident (as needed.)
- Completes weekly progress report for parents / authorized representative on clients.
- Informs Clinical Director and treatment team of all behavioral problems and documents in the residents’ file.
- Administration of state-of-the-art assessments to develop the current level of achievement, ability to learn, and strengths of each resident.
- Assistance with ACT / SAT preparation and coordination of online courses (when appropriate.)
- Ability to provide individual tutoring to residents in need of 1 : 1 educational needs.
- Participation in weekly treatment team meetings and weekly staff meetings.
- Performs other duties that may be required from as instructed by the Clinical Director.
- Works collaboratively with student’s home school and teachers to ensure that curriculum is obtained and students are maintained in their home school studies.
Requirements :
Compensation : $68,000k-$75,000k
