Description
Montessori Creative Learning School is seeking a full time formally trained or certified Montessori Teacher (new graduates are welcome). We are looking for a caring, nurturing, and courteous teacher who is responsible for providing a Montessori classroom instructional program that supports the learning needs of the children.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with co-teacher to support the development of the cognitive, emotional, social and physical growth of the child.
- Responsible for preparing an environment that meets the development need of children. The teacher uses school provided assessment tools/strategies to help make instructional decisions for individual students.
- Prepare and maintain an engaging, organized, and developmentally appropriate Montessori learning environment.
- Ensure that all Montessori materials are clean, complete, and rotated as needed.
- Present Montessori lessons based on individual and group needs, following Montessori philosophy.
- Observe children to assess their interests, development, and progress, adapting lessons accordingly.
- Foster independence, self-regulation, and problem-solving skills in children.
- Create a calm and respectful atmosphere that fosters independence and concentration.
- Responsible for communication that supports an understanding of the school’s program, develops positive relationships within the school community, and protects the privacy and confidentiality of each student and family in the school community.
- Montessori Certification needed.
- Experience: Prior experience working with young children (ages 2-5) in a Montessori setting is preferred but not required.
- Montessori Knowledge: Understanding of Montessori philosophy, methods, and materials.
- Classroom Management: Ability to create and maintain a peaceful, structured, and engaging learning environment.
- Communication Skills: Comfortably interact with both children and parents to foster strong relationships.
