About the Role:
Are you a dedicated, patient, and student-centered educator who values hands-on learning? Do you have a passion for working with young children and supporting their growth in an authentic Montessori environment? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Children’s House Assistant Teacher (3-6 years old) and become an integral part of our mission to guide and inspire young learners.
As a Children’s House Assistant Teacher, you will:
- Support the Lead Teacher – Assist in maintaining an engaging Montessori environment that nurtures independence and curiosity.
- Foster a Love for Learning – Work with students individually and in small groups, reinforcing lessons and encouraging exploration.
- Maintain a Peaceful & Respectful Classroom – Help guide students in their social and emotional development while fostering a positive classroom culture.
- Encourage Independence – Assist with daily routines such as transitions, classroom organization, and self-care skills.
- Collaborate with a Supportive Team – Work alongside teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
- Engage in Professional Growth – Participate in training, staff meetings, and school events to continue developing your Montessori expertise.
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- A willingness to learn about the Montessori philosophy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain a calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
- High school diploma required;
- Background check clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Montessori experience is a plus!
- Experience supporting students in a structured learning environment
- Experience in a public or charter Montessori school.
