Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safely transporting children to and from various locations, ensuring a positive and secure environment during transit. This position requires strong behavior management skills and the ability to engage with children effectively. A background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable, as it will enhance the interaction with our young passengers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bus while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit.
- Manage behavior on the bus, implementing strategies to maintain a calm and respectful environment.
- Assist children in boarding and disembarking from the bus, providing support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding any concerns or incidents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bus interior.
- Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Participate in training sessions related to child development, behavior management, and emergency procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is preferred; this may include roles in childcare, tutoring, or educational settings.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies for engaging children positively.
- Background in early childhood education or special education is a plus.
- Experience in Christian counseling or similar fields that promote childhood development is beneficial but not required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential for this role.
