Montessori School Administrative Support Specialist
Job Summary:
The School Administrative Support Specialist is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the school. This role includes maintaining effective communication with parents and staff, as well as providing tech support as needed to help manage the school's technology infrastructure, including iPads and Chromebooks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Montessori Support:
- Support teacher accountability and ensure compliance with Montessori standards.
- Help support accreditation, local childcare licensing requirements, and maintain Montessori’s best practices.
2. Administrative Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Head of School and staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and the community.
- Possibly serve as the lead admin in the absence of the Head of School.
- Be an integral part of the team and help in the office when needed.
3. Technology Management:
- Offer tech support as a secondary responsibility.
- Manage the maintenance of iPads and Chromebooks.
- Help to oversee the school website and other online communications platforms, including Remind and Wix.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in education or related field is required.
- Experience in administrative support roles.
- Basic knowledge of technology management and support.
- Montessori experience and certification.
- Excellent written and in-person communication skills.
- Positive and dynamic attitude with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and support various school functions.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position with responsibilities extending beyond regular school hours as needed.
Reports To:
- Head of School
Additional Responsibilities:
- Help manage MAP testing.
- Help keep track of statistics.
