Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a dynamic, detailed oriented, and knowledgeable Child Care Business Co ordinator to empower family child care programs and small child care centers (up to 75 children). The Child Care Business Co ordinator will support programs with financial competencies from child care business start up through successful child care business sustainability.
What You'll Be Doing
The coordinator will play a key role in supporting child care providers develop sound business practices through technical assistance , consultation, and training on crucial business metrics; such as enrollment strategies, full fee collection, budgeting, cost per child calculations, etc. to enhance and sustain their operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience providing financing, accounting, or business assistance to child care providers.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degre e in administration , financing, or accounting.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted.
Certification: MSDE approved t rainer through the Maryland State Department of Education required.

Preference for interview will be given to qualified candidates with experience in the following areas.

- Work with child care program owners to guide them through the process of understanding the fiscal managing a child care program;
- Provide expert consultation and training on business metrics and the effective use of management solutions.
- Deliver business coaching within a collaborative, reflective, and strength-based framework.
- Develop and provide trainings to child care providers for business development and sustainability;
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize program operational efficiency through targeted strategies and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of provided support and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices in child care business management.
