Who We Are Looking For
The Services to End and Prevent Homelessness has the mission to make homelessness a rare, brief, and non-recurring event. SEPH provides a full continuum of services with public and private partners, including housing stabilization, diversion from the experience of homelessness, outreach, shelter services, Healthcare for the Homeless, Office of Home Energy Programs, and permanent housing. SEPH is looking for an experienced Management and Budget Specialist III to provide essential financial support to the service area to help achieve our mission. The Management and Budget Specialist must have highly developed accounting, budget and contract management skills, knowledge of general accepted accounting principles, and financial and procurement procedures. The Management and Budget Specialist III must be skilled at providing analysis and recommendations to leadership to help inform budget decisions that will impact services delivery to consumers.
What You'll Be Doing
The primary purpose of this position is to support and guide the professional staff at SEPH with work involving the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of a department’s operating and capital budget.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience reviewing, analyzing and monitoring operating
and/or capital budgets, including analysis of and reporting on management and programmatic issues
having budgetary implications.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

- Incumbents serve as specialists assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services, Services to End and Prevent Homelessness.
- The work involves the performance of a full range of procedural and predominantly substantive analytical functions, including the formulation, justification, presentation, and execution of the operating budget and/or the capital budget (annual budget iteration and multi-year projections).
- Serve concurrently as the unit liaison for human resource management, information technology, procurement, and/or other types of administrative, logistical, or general business office support and/or have special responsibility for administering and reporting of grants or for tracking and reporting on revenue collection.

Salary : $81,122 - $123,507
