Summary Description
Under general supervision, assists Human Resources staffing analysts and specialists in providing services to applicants, teachers and administrators. Thorough knowledge of MCPS policies and procedures Considerable knowledge of personnel processing procedures and applicable rules and regulations. Working knowledge of business English and spelling. Working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment is essential. Ability to perform a wide range of standard office clerical tasks quickly and efficiently. Ability to maintain complex records and to prepare reports from such records. Ability to make decisions based upon experience, good judgment, and established departmental policies, procedures, and regulations. Ability to operate word processing equipment with proficiency and to demonstrate a working knowledge of other PC applications to include spreadsheets. Knowledge of, or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn to use locally developed and commercial applicant tracking software. Must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a commitment to customer service.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, And EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school and experience in performing personnel processing work. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
