QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years Human Resources, learning and development, or related experience.
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, particularly FMLA, ADA, EEO.
Strong knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
Ability to assess training needs and develop effective training programs.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
POSITION SUMMARY The HR Learning and Development Specialist will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that align with the company's strategic objectives. Additionally, the Specialist will manage employee engagement initiatives, oversee compliance training, and support individual employee development plans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive training programs that align with the company’s strategic goals and address the specific needs of different departments and roles.
Create engaging, effective, and innovative learning materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and seminars, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skills gaps and training needs across the organization. Utilize surveys, interviews, and performance data to inform program development.
Lead training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring content is delivered effectively and participants are engaged and motivated.
Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools to deliver, track, and evaluate training programs. Stay updated with the latest trends in learning technologies and incorporate them into training strategies.
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Provide detailed reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with managers and HR partners to support individual employee development plans, career pathing, and succession planning initiatives.
Ensure all mandatory training (e.g., compliance, safety, diversity) is up-to-date and delivered on schedule.
Manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants, ensuring the quality and relevance of outsourced training solutions.
Oversee the performance review process, ensuring timely and constructive feedback is provided. Develop action plans based on performance review ratings to support employee growth and improvement.
Responsible for administering and analyzing employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) surveys to gauge employee engagement and satisfaction. Use survey results to inform and improve learning and development strategies.
Design and deliver comprehensive onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth and effective transition into the company.
