Description
- Manage all lease agreements for LPs and O/Os, including renewals, new agreements, and cancellations. Ensure compliance with lease terms, timely renewals, and collaborate with drivers to mitigate lease cancellations, providing ongoing support to optimize driver success.
- Ensure availability of equipment and manage all aspects of tractor operations, including monitoring warranty expirations, tractor availability, lease agreements, and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment availability aligns with operational needs.
- Ensure structured management of drivers, including LPs and O/Os, ensuring there are an adequate number of operators to meet business needs. Provide oversight and guidance to Contractor Relations Managers (CRMs) who support drivers in their success. Monitor and maintain a sufficient number of drivers to meet operational needs.
- Continuously monitor and assess fleet performance and equipment utilization, ensuring availability of tractors and trailers. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to address warranty expirations and other critical equipment matters.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive retention efforts for both LPs and O/Os. Collaborate with Contractor Relations Managers (CRMs) to provide support to drivers, ensuring they are successful in their roles.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for fleet operations, such as vehicle utilization, fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and driver performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimize fleet operations.
- Oversee lease renewals, modifications, and cancellations. Ensure lease agreements are properly managed, terms are enforced, and drivers understand their lease obligations. Collaborate with CRMs to support drivers through the leasing process.
- Lead a team of Contractor Relations Managers (CRMs). Provide guidance, training, and performance management to ensure team effectiveness in supporting drivers and managing lease operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations. Maintain an in-depth understanding of operational needs, including tractor leasing, fleet availability, and warranty management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in the trucking industry, with a strong understanding of fleet management, lease-purchase programs, and owner-operator operations. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proven experience in managing drivers, leases, and equipment in a trucking environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing multi-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship management and driver retention.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
Proficiency with McLeod Software or other Transportation Management Software (TMS).
