About The Career:
- Manages Prior Authorization Central Team staff and assures process alignment for all MRH Embedded Team staff. Provides oversight and ensures the integrity of insurance verification and authorization for all MRH service lines and clinics. Provides support in maintaining the day-to-day operations. Managing would include validating that all operations are completed on a daily basis and any outstanding processes are addressed and supported. Identifies and troubleshoots Meditech System, Optum Clearance, and eCW issues and makes recommendations for system changes. Works with staff to plan and schedule resources to meet timely and complete prior auth processes as well as achieve departmental goals. Maintains a detailed knowledge of all processes within the department. Implements workflows to ensure compliance with Regulatory statutes. Maintains internal dashboards to identify practices in need of improvement. Maintains operational knowledge of Patient Access and Pre-Registration workflow. Collaborates with other Revenue Cycle Departments to maximize reimbursement, reduce denials, and support accurate and timely billing.
All About You:
- High school diploma or GED; Prior Authorization experience preferred.
- 3-5 years hospital Prior Authorization experience required; managerial experience preferred
- Prior Authorization or Coding Certification preferred
