The Housekeeping Coordinator works under the direction of the Administrator and is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations, managing central supply inventory, and ensuring efficient scheduling of housekeeping staff. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-supplied environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping Supervision: Oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring resident rooms, common areas, and offices are cleaned and maintained according to facility standards. Provide training, support, and guidance to housekeeping staff.
- Staff Scheduling: Create and manage housekeeping schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow. Adjust schedules as needed to meet facility demands.
- Central Supply Management: Maintain and distribute essential supplies for resident care and facility operations. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with nursing, maintenance, and administrative teams to ensure seamless facility operations.
- Resident Transport Coordination (if applicable): Assist in scheduling resident transportation by collaborating with nursing and transport staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, supply management, CNA or scheduling preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across departments.
- Basic computer skills for scheduling and inventory tracking.
