Responsibilities
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Vice President (VP) of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to support our executive leadership team within the shared services functions. The VP will be responsible for driving financial strategy, providing actionable insights, and aligning financial goals with broader business objectives. This individual will lead a high-performing team of eight junior resources, leveraging their strong business acumen, advanced data analytics capabilities, and will need to possess leadership skills to inform key decisions across the organization. The VP will play a crucial role in fostering collaboration, transparency, and effective communication between the finance team and business leaders.
Our Shared Services FP&A team is responsible for business partnering and financial planning for each of our Shared Services teams spanning across IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Development, and Internal Audit. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in the NYC office.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $163,300 - $236,800, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.

Skills And Competencies
- Over 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, supporting executive leadership teams and driving financial strategy.
- Proven expertise in shared services or multi-functional business environments, with strong collaboration and partnership skills.
- Demonstrated success in managing, developing, and mentoring finance professionals, and leading cross-functional teams to promote a high-performance culture.
- Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, business intelligence tools, and ERP/FP&A software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI).
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, and clearly convey complex financial information.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, focused on driving results through data-driven decision-making and aligning financial strategies with broader business objectives.
