Internal Senior Accountant

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and self-motivated Internal Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of accounting experience. This position reports to the Controller and oversees general ledger, accounts payable, and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Oversee accounts payable, including vendor setup, payments, and inquiries.
- Ensure accurate recording of cash receipts and conduct weekly A/R review meetings.
- Provide financial and operational data, develop automated reports, and support business reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements in A/P, collections, and reporting.
- Become a subject matter expert in ERP/Time & Billing software (Deltek Maconomy).
- Support annual processes such as 1099 filings and budget data compilation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field; CPA license preferred.
- 4-5 years of accounting experience
- Understanding of billing and collections processes.
- Experience with GL systems.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem solver who enjoys challenges.
