- Thorough knowledge of the principles of normal and therapeutic nutrition•Thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietary assessment techniques•Thorough knowledge of human behavior and techniques for effecting change•Ability to interpret nutritional and dietary data•Skill in preparing reports, health, and medical histories•Ability to monitor and maintain quality standards•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, the general public, other professionals, and associates
