Description
The Groundwater Modeler will be responsible for hydrogeological investigations including analysis of groundwater data, groundwater model development to assess groundwater resources. This role involves fieldwork, data analysis, data visualization, and report preparation to support environmental and water resource projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and monitoring of groundwater.
- Analyze hydrogeological data to assess groundwater quality and quantity.
- Develop and calibrate groundwater flow models using software such as MODFLOW.
- Analyze aquifer test data for hydraulic properties and well yield
- Conduct geological investigation related to groundwater resources.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations, including data interpretation and recommendations for various clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental, water resource and water rights projects.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hydrogeology or a related field.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite of products.
- Prior experience using and proficiency in MODFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, and ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork (up to 10%).
- Programming skills (AQTESOLV, MODFLOW SURFACT, MODFLOW-USG, SEAWAT, PYTHON, and SURFER) are a plus.
- Certification (i.e., Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist) is a plus.
This position is a hybrid role with the ability to have a flexible schedule. In office work is required three days per week.

For Colorado residents: The pay range for this position is $72,000-$99,000. The range displayed on this job posting reflects salaries for the position based in our Colorado locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by specific work location and additional factors, including education, experience, credentials, and job-related skills. In addition to base pay, certain positions at Moore Holding Company and subsidiaries are eligible for participation in our incentive compensation programs.
