Description
The Wetland Services Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting Senior Scientists with site investigation, establishing landowner relationships and developing projects to meet USDA-NRCS wetland mitigation and banking projects throughout MN, ND, SD and other targeted geographies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Sr. Scientists in communications with landowners, clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinates all mapping and data needs for project team, client, and stakeholders.
- Assists in communication with landowners either through mail, electronic, or direct communication as appropriate.
- Documents all communication with landowners and stakeholders.
- Assists in scheduling with any mailings, agency meetings, and other project meetings.
- Deed and legal document plus other ownership searches at courthouses (Register of Deed Offices) or using electronic record tools
- Search for land ownership addresses and phone contacts
- Ability to coordinate and communicate with the legal team working for the Project Sponsors
- Knowledge of common conservation practices and programs in MN, ND and SD complementary to wetland mitigation, banking, or other long-term land-use planning.
- Create and maintain Project worksheets for contact data, payment data, document tracking, title opinion review, status data, and other pertinent information related to the project.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-year degree in related field or relevant work experience
- Five years of experience in real estate, private development or related position
- Open to completing professional licensure or certifications as applicable to the job duties
- Must have excellent communication skills
