Job Objective: The Creative Arts Adjunct Instructor's will teach and mentor students across various visual arts disciplines, fostering creativity and technical skill development in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Art degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated excellence in one or more visual art disciplines
• Ability to provide professional portfolio and/or examples of work
• Previous teaching experience level preferred
• Strong commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Knowledge of contemporary art practices and historical contexts
  
  

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of these artistic disciplines, including:

• Painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor)
• Drawing and sketching
• Photography (digital and traditional)
• Calligraphy and lettering
• Other visual arts media
• Greeting Card Design
  
  

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Develop and deliver engaging course content in your area of expertise
• Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students
• Stay up to date on the newest trends in your field
• Collaborate with department staff to improve curriculum and course offerings.
• Maintain active involvement in the arts community
  
  

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Adjunct position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Classes held in a well-equipped classroom setting.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light materials.
• Please be ready to provide a portfolio or examples of sewing work during your interview.
