Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician
Moore Twining Associates, Inc. (Moore Twining) has a history dating back to 1898 and has grown into a multi-disciplined consulting firm with six divisions specializing in Material Testing, Construction Inspection, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Services, Drilling Services and Analytical Chemistry. Our staff consists of Professional Engineers, Professional Geologists, Certified Inspectors, Chemists, Drillers and Administrators.
Moore Twining is recruiting for a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician in our Fresno, California office. Candidates MUST have High School Diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 pounds, be willing to work overtime and be willing to work in an outdoor lab. Prior experience in laboratory testing is a MUST.
Job Duties include but are not limited to :
- Check work orders to determine type of testing to be performed
- Ensure all samples are accurately logged
- Perform laboratory testing of concrete, soils, asphalt, aggregates and other construction materials according to ASTM, AASTHO, and Caltrans procedures
- Perform various as needed laboratory testing for soils, aggregate, HMA (i.e., proctors, sieve analysis, expansion index, R-value, etc.)
- Assist in preparation of reports
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
