Responsibilities
HR
· Assist in compensation plans
· Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
· Work with recruiters, as required, to fill vacant positions.
· Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
· Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as compensation and resolve a any issues that may arise
· Assists employees with enrollment and service for company benefits program
· Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
· Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
· Undertake tasks around performance management; provide feedback and support to supervisors
· Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like employee turnover rates, and identify solutions or action plan when required
· Assist with annual employee performance reviews
· Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
· Ensure compliance with labor regulations
· Assist with employee-housing program.
· Other tasks as assigned.
Health & Safety
· Distribute monthly safety training materials to managers and track company results.
· Ensure compliance with all OSHA-required injury tracking and reporting.
· Track, monitor, and report mill injuries and illnesses.
· Annual Bureau of Labor Standards and OSHA Reporting
· Manage workers comp claims and first reports of injuries with FPGT
· Manage return-to-work program with managers to minimize lost-time.
· Participate with observing mill safety and assist with safety coaching.
· Develop and continuously support the Employee Safety Committee
· Participate in audit process, root cause analysis and corrective action
· Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
· Proven experience as an HR Generalist and in OSHA regulations
· Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
· Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
· Outstanding knowledge of MS Office;
· Excellent communication and people skills
· Aptitude in problem-solving
· Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
· BS/BA in Business administration or relevant field
· Mandatory HR & HS training annually to stay up to date and compliant with laws and regulations
