We are looking for a Full time, 40 hours per week Medical Billing Clerk to work Monday - Friday 8a - 4:30p to join our TEAM!
General Summary
This position is responsible for correcting, completing, and processing claims of all pay codes. The Finance Billing Clerk is also required to generate reports from the computer in accordance with the established procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Daily data entry into PCC system when needed to assure accuracy of billing for all services rendered in a patients account
- Tracking and managing all Resident Medical Health Insurance into PCC for each profile to include outside medical provider billing review for individual residents
- Ensures completion of documentation and coding on PCC/EMR when needed on charges entered in patients accounts for the correct and complete billing claim
- Processing of Therapy Management insurance verifications from HCC
- Monthly review of all postings before claim submission
- Enters medical cash receipts and ensure correct posting and distribution
- Assists in monthly closing and balancing of all ELF, CLF, Brandon Place, and Knaack Building billing no later than 6th of every month
- Resident Collection/Disputes for private pay resident services provided, as needed
- Maintains billing file/records
- Guardian Pharmacy uploading and review with corrections into PCC
- Review and settlement of Resident outstanding receivables to Moosehaven
- Census daily updates - adding new therapy diagnosis sheets for new resident billing charges and discharging residents from therapy services prior to the TMC upload
- Onboarding insurance management for newly arrived residents Other duties assigned
- 3 years experience
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Medical Billing is a must
