Moosehaven is HIRING!
We are looking for a Full time, 40 hours per week Medical Billing Clerk to work Monday - Friday 8a - 4:30p to join our TEAM!
Essential Job Functions
- Daily data entry into PCC system when needed to assure accuracy of billing for all services rendered in a patients account
- Ensures completion of documentation and coding on the Route Slip and EMR when needed on charges entered in patients accounts for the correct and complete billing claim
- Monthly input of all ancillary services to include Health Education Services encounters into the computer to ensure accuracy of services rendered
- Processing of Therapy Management insurance verifications from HCC
- Daily review of all postings before claim submission
- Daily closing and balancing of day posted
- Enters cash receipts as needed and ensure correct allocation and distribution in accordance with the established protocol
- Perform monthly closing and balancing
- Make arithmetic calculations and check various statistical and accounting tables and reports as required
- Responsible for sending the electronic claims for Medicaid, Medicare, and EAPC on weekly basis
- Responsible for sending claims to all private insurance, third party, workers comp., hospital billing, CHDP, CHDP-TP, KFHC Family Planning Program on weekly or monthly basis as directed by the Billing Manager
- Maintain billing file/records by batch in accordance with the established protocol
