Duties
The Web Content Specialist, under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Marketing, is responsible for producing and managing web pages, social media, and other electronic content. The Web Content Specialist is responsible for ensuring a clear, consistent, and strategic brand message in digital mediums. The Web Content Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned :
- Edits, maintains, and publishes content for webpages, social media, and other digital marketing efforts, with a strong preference for experience with WordPress.
- Writes, edits, and proofreads marketing materials, ensuring alignment with AP style and college branding guidelines.
- Posts, coordinates, monitors, and follows up with social media content on the college’s branded accounts.
- Develops and implements the college’s overall social media strategy and works with college clients to ensure the best use of social media.
- Guides, coordinates, and mentors content contributors with various levels of familiarity with web and social media practices.
- Collaborates with various departments and clients to develop marketing strategies and campaigns, ensuring the completion of projects that support enrollment and brand enhancement goals.
- Interprets and applies web data and social media insights to improve the website, digital marketing, social media, etc.
- Assures quality of the college’s digital presences by identifying and fixing issues.
- Ensures proper use of the college’s branding and style guidelines across digital platforms.
- Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns, including web traffic and ad performance, and provides insights to optimize strategies and ROI.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
