Job Summary:
Using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures
- Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements to meet Quality Standards
- Proficient use of equipment required by the job function
- Adhere to safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor
- Assemble equipment for final operation
- Perform troubleshooting as required
- Explores methods of improving efficiency, speed, and quality of work being done
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Experience in lieu of High School Diploma or GED include 2 years of related experience required, mechanical experience preferred, blue print and schematic reading preferred.
- Previous production assembly experience is preferred
- Ability to perform basic math (add subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers in addition to understanding fractions and decimals)
- Possess basic language skills (can read/and understand written instructions)
- Ability to identify and use a variety of assembly tools and methods
- Possess basic/general knowledge in reading/understanding schematics
- Understand equipment performance requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Unimpaired speech, hearing and sight (continuous)
- Postural changes such as sitting, reaching, climbing, standing, walking and lifting (intermittent)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to chest high shelving
