Job Summary
Media Assistants will work with the staff of the Center for STEM eXcellence to create web content, photos, videos, social media posts, and in-program products for summer programs. Media Assistants will work with the program manager, media manager, and STEM X program educators to identify needs and produce deliverables for current and future use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities may involve performing analytical tasks and/or developing comprehensive media products. The media assistant may conduct a significant amount of office or field work, aid in the analysis of research and editing or writing, and create and implement special projects and initiatives. This position will require a high level of contact with internal and external customers. A substantial level of teamwork is expected.

Minimum Requirements
- Must be a current MSU student
- Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Must have or be able to successfully complete a significant amount training/certification
- Must have a high level of technology skills
- Must have a high level of knowledge of the operations and policies of the unit or department
- Must possess independent judgment, discretion and decision-making skills
- Must have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and working under pressure
- Must be able to handle stress as well as to react quickly in emergency situations
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Media major of study, program alum.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 25 pounds
Working Conditions
Residential setting for 12-20 year old participants.
