What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender at Jersey Girl Restaurant position at Morey's Resorts?
Bartender:
Bartenders are responsible for making alcoholic beverages for bar guests as well as dine-in guests. The bartenders must have an upbeat personality and enjoy communicating with guests. Additional duties include verifying the identification and age requirements of customers before serving any alcoholic beverages, cleaning the bar area clean, directing barbacks with tasks, and keeping the bar stocked. The bartender must have the knowledge of traditional cocktails and the ability to familiarize themselves with the restaurant’s specific drink list. Bartenders must also report guest problems or issues to a supervisor as observed.
Wages:
Hourly Wage: $5.62 per hour
Eligible for Tips: Yes
Bonus: Bartenders are eligible for a work performance-based bonus of up to $1.00 for every hour worked during the Season through Sunday, October 19; must work a minimum of 200 hours in total. The associate must work until the date of commitment agreed to at the interview.
Qualifications & Duties:
- Must be familiar with the restaurant industry and POS systems.
- Ability to work in a fast environment.
- Must be an enthusiastic individual with a courteous and positive attitude toward guests, outside vendors, and co-workers.
- TIPS certified preferred but will supply passport if not previously certified.
- One to two years of experience as a bartender preferred.
- Timeliness is required as well as grooming standards.
- Availability to work weekends, especially during the summer season.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, or stretch for long periods of time.
- Ability to take and follow directions from the restaurant management team.
