Job Summary
Job Title : Summer School Special Education Teacher (Grades 9-Postsecondary)
Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 9 through postsecondary during our 2025 summer school program. This in-person, on-campus position involves working 4 days per week from June 16 to July 18, 2025, with instructional hours from 8 : 00 AM to 1 : 00 PM. Teachers will also participate in 3 professional development days prior to the program, from June 10-12, 2025. The teacher will provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals to support their academic and social-emotional growth.

Schedule : 4 days a week for 5 weeks, June 16 - July 18, 2025.
Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 1 : 00 PM.
Preparation : 3 paid professional development days, June 10-12, 2025.
Responsibilities :
Provide differentiated instruction tailored to meet students' unique needs and IEP goals.
Develop and implement engaging lessons that support academic, behavioral, and life skills development.
Collaborate with families, educational partners, and support staff to create a cohesive plan for student success.
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed.
Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning environment.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all special education regulations.
Qualifications :
Valid special education teaching credential.
Experience working with students in grades 9 through postsecondary, particularly those with diverse learning needs.
Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
