Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support their human resources function. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility with remote and onsite work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all administrative tasks related to recruiting, onboarding, HRIS maintenance, the corporate card program, and processing HR-related invoices and event planning.
- Provide comprehensive support to the HR Leader, assisting with various daily tasks and special projects as needed.
- Manage the recruitment process for hourly and lower-level non-exempt positions, ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of HRIS data, ensuring timely updates and compliance.
- Facilitate onboarding meetings and training sessions for new hires, fostering a welcoming environment.
- Assist with open enrollment, 401(k) audits, benefits audits, and other benefit-related initiatives.
- Act as the primary backup for the payroll manager, processing payroll at least once per quarter to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate's or bachelor’s degree in office administration, HR management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in roles such as benefits coordinator, recruiter, HR assistant, or HR specialist.
- Experience supporting senior executives in a plant or functional setting is desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and/or early shifts, as business needs arise.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for overnight stays as required.
