Accounting Analyst
This role supports the accounting team by ensuring that commission payments to external partners are processed efficiently and in compliance with internal controls and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and organize financial statements corresponding to deposits within 24 hours of deposit notification.
- Reconcile all commission statements before processing to ensure accuracy.
- Accurately process commission statements within two business days following reconciliation, with limited exceptions.
- Submit and track any batch exceptions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform daily recalculations of batches until all discrepancies or exceptions are resolved.
- Maintain and update relevant accounting systems and documentation as needed.
- Adhere strictly to departmental policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Respond to accounting inquiries and support tickets within eight business hours.
- Resolve inquiries or escalate for external resolution within four business days, ensuring clear communication across internal teams.
- Monitor and update the inquiry tracking system to reflect progress and resolution status.
- Maintain an audit accuracy rate of less than 3% error.
- Communicate promptly with management regarding discrepancies, payout delays, or statement issues that could impact financial processing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, customer service, or related fields preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and comfortable with financial/accounting software and systems.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
