What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Front Desk Receptionist position at Morgan's Paws Pet Care Center?
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for the daily reception of our clients. The receptionist will greet and welcome guests, answer phone calls, and take our pets to the area they will be staying in. The receptionist will assist in the daily administration of the office and ensure that all paperwork is properly completed and/or processed.
This is not your typical front desk position. There is not much sitting. Front desk staff move dogs around the building throughout their entire shift. This entails taking dogs & cats to daycare, boarding or grooming and then bringing them back out to go home. Dogs can range from as small as 5lbs or to as large as 150 lbs. This is a very, very physical job where you do run their risk of getting injured. Dogs will jump on you & possibly scratch you, pull/drag you & at times even trip you. Front desk staff help take care of cats by feeding, medicating and cleaning litter boxes.
The hours we are open to our clients are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 6:15pm, Saturday 9am - 4pm. We are currently looking for someone to work from 3pm-7pm Monday's, Thursday's & Friday's plus 2 Saturday's a month. Saturday hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm.
