Position Summary:
The Senior Finance Manager – Order to Cash will lead the Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections functions for a key segment of the organization. The successful candidate will manage a local team, collaborate with global shared services, and implement scalable processes to improve cash flow and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee accurate, efficient billing operations and ensure timely invoicing

Lead and mentor a team of two direct reports based in Indianapolis

Drive collections activities and ensure AR compliance with company policies

Monitor and manage performance of third-party Shared Services billing/collections team

Implement and optimize scalable Order to Cash (OTC) processes

Ensure timely and accurate cash application and resolve discrepancies in AR balances

Lead customer credit evaluations and advise on payment terms/structures

Own AR process to reduce DSO and manage bad debt reserves

Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, and related reporting for AR

Partner cross-functionally with finance, commercial, and customer service teams

Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls; support audit processes

Provide coaching, foster a culture of continuous improvement

Leverage internal tools and data to drive reporting and strategic analysis

Support ERP system improvements and integration projects
What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred

7 years of progressive experience managing AR, billing, and collections

3 years of team leadership or supervisory experience

Background in large/global companies; life sciences or manufacturing a plus

ERP expertise required; Oracle Cloud ERP experience a plus

Strong Excel and data analysis skills

Process improvement mindset; Six Sigma or Lean experience a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and ability to thrive in complex environments

SOX compliance experience preferred
